Meeting The Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN) At Bravocon
Staying local for the summer doesn't have to be boring when you can choose from great events like Bravocon, Thompson Rooftop, Digital Dreams and Le Brunch in Toronto.
It was probably one of the hottest summers in Toronto ever this year, so hot that there wasn't really a point to fly to the Caribbean for a weekend.
One of my friends opened up a new hairsalon called Evolve Salon in the Cityplace area, if you are looking for a premium haircut in Toronto, this is the place to go.
During the Sundays we hit up the Polsen Pier birdbath which is an outdoor event area with a massive pool plus it has an amazing view of Toronto's skyline.
To top of a fun day in Toronto why not go visit a Bluejays game at the Rogers Centre (previously known as the Skydome).
I also got to meet my favorite Canadian DJ Austin and Bronwyn from Electric Youth at Wrongbar which is located at Queen West & Dufferin. Electric Youth made the song 'A Real Hero' for the movie Drive.
The angry video game nerd was also in the area this summer, he was giving a signature round at Bravocon in Burlington. It was totally worth waiting 2 hours in line to get my Wii & Rolling Rock signed and be able to take an epic picture (see top photo set)
Last but not least; bike rides alongside the lakeshore with Mr. B and Mr. M, and not to mention the massive IDentity festival held at Ontario Place in Toronto.
