An enjoyable day to the Osaka Castle was just what I needed after a night of heavy drinking in Osaka. They were serving beer at the Castle during an Austrian promotional event, quite interesting. The castle was gorgeous and the lookout balcony was breathtaking. the surrounding park was gigantic, you could walk around the castle for hours. It was definitely a hectic day because right after I had to bounce to the Nagisa festival in the Osaka Harbor.

Osaka Nights

Osaka Nightlife is quite underrated. It is fantastic and vibrant.

Osaka Nights, since I arrived in the middle of the night after my adventure in Nagoya, I decided to get a hotel and hit up the nightlife district immediately for a nice cold beer. The minute I walked out of the hotel I ran into these crazy girls that told about some great spots in the city.

I had a blast at the following places:

  • Lunar Club (trance, underground)
  • Grand Cafe
  • Shinsaibashi (shopping district)
  • FamilyMart

Osaka

Osaka has the best Sushi restaurants in the world.

Osaka city is definitely one of the most beautiful and rich cities in Japan. Before arriving at Osaka central station I looked the nightlife district on the map called Shinsaibashi. It was late and had to take the last subway from the station to downtown. I ordered a burger with fries at Lotteria in the main shopping street because I was tired and wanted to sit down while using my WiMAX internet stick to lookup an hotel. The damn restaurant was located underneath a traintrack so I had no range but the burger was delicious. Hotels were hard to find but luckily I found this fantastic area next to the subway station in the middle of the clubbing district.

I got myself a sweet room at the Hearton Hotel for a pretty good deal. On the way back from Nagasaki I stayed at an hotel across from the Hearton for an even better deal. It was behind a nice shopping mall called OPA. Also, Osaka houses one of the best Sushi restaurants I have ever been too, I cannot remember the place but it was east from the subway and south of the Karaoke 804.

My Shinsaibashi highlights:

  • Jinen Sushi restaurant (best to date) near Shinsaibashi station
  • Hearton Hotel
  • OPA shopping mall
  • Umeda Skybuilding
  • Okonomi-yaki Restaurants
  • Karaoke 804
  • Lotteria
  • Grand Cafe
  • Gamebar
