The first few months of my co-op placement in Canada I stayed at a nice town house on Bristol Rd. in Mississauga. Spending the summer here was amazing. There was a pool closeby which was free for use by the local residents. John, Paul and I went to Centennial Park to fly a remote airplane which John built at night time we wanted to go Go-karting but unfortunately it was already closed. It was also during this year in Canada where I experienced a serious winter. I have never seen so much snow in my life thus was playing in the snow for hours. I pretty much lived my co-op days on canned ravioli from the local convenience store. It will always remind me of the serious budget days.

After 2 years I decided it was time again to mount the slopes. We left on a early Saturday morning to by-pass traffic and possible line-ups at the rental places. It was a beautiful day for snowboarding & skiing, 2 of our crew members we're skiing and 2 we're snowboarding so it was a good combo.

Although I haven't been snowboarding for 2 years and I am reasonable on a board, my friends thought it was funny to start off on the double-black diamond, which is the hardest slope on the hill, which wasn't funny and is damn dangerous if you aren't experienced. Thus it took me an awful long time to get done, basically without even turning once. Just gracefully going down the hill seemed to be the safest option.

Throughout the day I managed to fall quite a lot which resulted in lots of pain in the days after but all-in-all it was a fantastic day at Blue Mountain in Collingwood, Canada.
