Raw Fish Platters During Dutch Christmas Celebrations
Dutch people love raw fish and serving it during Christmas is a tradition celebrated by many Dutch families, the platters include raw herring, raw salmon and smoked mackerel.
If there was one thing I was looking forward to this fall it was going home for Christmas.
My family received me upon my arrival at Schiphol Airport in Holland.
My dad prepared some fantastic raw-fish dishes to celebrate, we Dutch people love raw fish just as much as the Japanese do.
Every time I go back I am surprised to how small everything is in Holland. Door knobs, doors, streets, cars, everything is a tad smaller which makes me feel like a giant for some reason.
