The Toronto Party Life: Clubbing Around Town
Toronto is famous for having more than 400 clubs, bars and lounges thus this summer I tried to visit as many as possible, highlights were: Biermarkt, Skybar, Drake Hotel, Footwork, and Century Room.
Toronto is known as a big party city but if you ever decide to drop by you will need to know where the current hotspots are otherwise you may end up a some sausagefest with sweaty weirdos.
My recommendations for 2010/2011: Biermarkt on Esplanade, Footwork, Drake Hotel on Queen West, Skybar and Century Room.
The Drake Hotel is a cultural, entertainment & hospitality landmark in downtown Toronto. Top-rated restaurant, bar, lounge, dining experience & boutique hotel.
Footwork has earned a reputation for delivering quality parties, covering every genre of the electronic dance scene. In just a short time,
Footwork has carved its niche and filled the void of intimate nightclubs in Toronto. Nestled conveniently between Toronto's commercial club district and the thriving King West community, it's a unique environment offering simply the best of the electronic music world. Saturday nights showcase international artists with some of dance music's biggest names performing weekly in the cozy confines of Footwork. And while Friday nights focus purely on local dj's, the talent being presented is nothing short of world class.
Bier Markt is a European-style restaurant in the city's original waterfront promenade. Features over 100 beers and a brasserie-inspired menu.
