Blue Mountain: Best Snowboarding In Ontario
Snowboarding in Ontario doesn't come easy, the southern part of the province doesn't have many mountains but luckily Blue Mountain in Collingwood, a 2 hour drive from Toronto, offers a decent mountain for some good snowboard and ski fun.
After 2 years I decided it was time again to mount the slopes. We left on a early Saturday morning to by-pass traffic and possible line-ups at the rental places.
It was a beautiful day for snowboarding & skiing, 2 of our crew members we're skiing and 2 we're snowboarding so it was a good combo.
Although I haven't been snowboarding for 2 years and I am reasonable on a board, my friends thought it was funny to start off on the double-black diamond, which is the hardest slope on the hill, which wasn't funny and is damn dangerous if you aren't experienced.
Thus it took me an awful long time to get done, basically without even turning once. Just gracefully going down the hill seemed to be the safest option.
Throughout the day I managed to fall quite a lot which resulted in lots of pain in the days after but all-in-all it was a fantastic day at Blue Mountain in Collingwood, Canada.
