My family and I packed our bags during Christmas and flew with KLM to the capital of Germany, Berlin.
We visited a large amount of places which I listed below, which is a must-see if you ever decide to visit.
My personal favorites were Das Klo, which is a toilet themed bar, the Berliner Dom and the DDR museum.
During Christmas you can find many Christmas markets around town, the best one was located at the Gendarmenmarket.
Berlin is definitely a gem of city but it has its flaws, it could have been the time of the year, Christmas shopping, New Year's stress, we basically had a very bad experience with the local service, primarily at restaurants.
Maybe they have something against the Dutch but we noticed after many restaurant visits that the service was sloppy, unpolite and very slow. It may have been the East side of Berlin where we were primarily residing.
