Yakitori Akira is located in the Nakameguro district on the westend of Tokyo and offers a cozy ancient dining setting.

Since the chicken sashimi was sold out that day we had to settle for chicken tartare with fermented soybeans (natto) which was one of the most bizarre flavours I ever encountered.

Next was the chicken knee cartilage (soccerball), really crunchy and not edible unless charboiled the hell out of. The chicken necks were juicy and awkward since it didn't taste remote like regular chicken breast.
