My first impression of the restaurant was a very cozy setting, it felt like I joined a private dinner with chef Joseph Shawana and his family.

The food was absolutely delicious especially the braised elk, raw seal tartar and the halibut from Nova Scotia, perhaps the best halibut I've ever eaten.

For dessert, I opt in to try their unique cocktails, Cocktail Number 3 which consisted out of beet juice, egg whites, dillion method 95, ginger and lemon juice.

Recently there has been a bit of controversy regarding the raw seal tartare dishes but I personally believe Canadian heritage culture has to be preserved by any means and I look forward to dining at Kukum Kitchen again in the near future.
