Scrooge: The Dutch Musical Version
This popular musical has been a Christmas favourite among the Dutch, I was fortunate enough to watch it at the Schouwburg in Haarlem with my entire family during the Dutch holiday season.
My family organized a big meetup to celebrate my grandmother's birthday at Italian Restaurant Napoli in Haarlem.
For dinner I had Linguine with Parmigiano-Reggiano which was made fresh in front of our eyes. They burned the cheese and mixed the pasta into the melted cheese.

For desert I had a Dame-Blanche which is a popular Dutch treat made with icecream, banana and thick chocolate sauce.
After dinner we headed towards the theater of Haarlem, called the Stadsschouwberg, where we watched the play: Scrooge.
The cast was made up out of primarily amateurs with a few professionals. All-in-all it was a great Christmas play.
I catched up with family members whom I hadn't seen for years. We reserved a table after the play where we ended the night.
For late night snacks we had bitterballen, which are Dutch savoury meat-based snacks, cheese sticks and mini spring rolls.
At the end of the night we parted our ways but I really hope we can meetup like this again in the near future.
